Education NewsPermanent Commission (Pc):
Applicants who have become Permanent Commission Officers will have to continue their retirement based on their ranks in the branch.Short Service Commission (SSC), Men / Women: The
Flying Branch (Men / Women) has been selected from service for 14 years from the date of joining the Commission. The basic service of the employee selected for the ground duty (technical, non technical) branch is ten years. Ground duty officers’ service will be extended for four years depending on the requirement.

Qualifications ..
Flying Branch,
accredited university with a Bachelor’s Degree from the 60 per cent marks. Inter Maths / Physics subject must pass 60% marks / BE / BTech with 60% marks.
Ground Duty (Technical):
Passing 60% marks in Inter-engineering Bachelor’s Degree / Post Graduate Degree. 60% marks in Inter Maths and Physics subjects are mandatory.
Ground Duty (Non Technical):
Administration and Logistics:
 Three-year degree with 60% marks from recognized university.
Accounts: Beacon or equivalent qualification with 60 percent marks.
NCC special entry (flying batch): NSCI Airborne Senior Division ‘C’ certificate should be on January 1, 2017. With a passage of 60% marks any degree. 60% marks in Inter Maths and Physics.

Age Limit:
AFFKate and NCC (Flying Branch):
2020, to be between July 20 and 24 years. The maximum age limit for commercial pilot leasing from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is 26 years.
Ground Duty / Non Technical Branches: 2020, between July 1 and May 20 to 26.

  • At the beginning of the course, only those who are under 25 years of age are eligible. Widower and divorced women under the age of 25 are also disqualified.

Selection Process:
Initial examination takes place online test (screening test). Candidates who have qualified will receive a letter from any Air Force Selection Board in Dehradun, Varanasi and Gandhinagar. Officer boards Officer Intelligence Rating Test, Picture Perception and Discussion Tests will be conducted by selecting those who are talented in the next step. Those who have been selected for the Psychological Test and Flying Branch will be able to conduct the Computerized Pilot Selection System (CPPS) test for those candidates and qualify for the Medical Test. The merit list is based on the retirement test and the medical test (fitness) in the final.

Training:
The selected candidates will start training in Dundigul Air Force Academy in Hyderabad in the first week of July. Flying, Ground Duty (Technical) Branches will have 54 weeks training for 74 weekly and ground-based non technical technologies.

Testing:
AFFKAT and EKET examinations are conducted online. The question paper is in English medium of multiple choice. If there are 3 marks for each correct answer, one can cut a mark for the wrong answer.

  • The AQQAT questionnaire comes from questions from English, General Awareness, Numerical Ability, Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test. One hundred questions will be tested for 300 marks. The test duration is 2 hours.
  • Candidates who have chosen the Ground Duty (Technical) Branch will have to attend the AFFKAT and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKTE). These questions arise from Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics. There will be 50 questions and 150 marks. The test time is 45 minutes.

English:
 Comprehension, Error Detection, Sentence Completion / Filling in Correct Word, Synonyms, Anthonyms, Testing of Vocabulary, Idioms and Fragments.
General Awareness: History, Geography, Civics, Politics, Current Affairs, Environment, Basic Sciences, Defense, Art, Culture, Sports.
Numerical Ability: Decimal Friction, Time and Work, Average, Profit and Loss, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Simple Interaction, Time and Distance (Trains / Boats and Streams).
Reasoning and Military Aptitude Test: Verbal Skills and Spatial Ability, Numerical Ability Questions At Matriculation level, questions from other subjects are at graduation level.
